Re: JLT Taking ages to rip

Job is a 4pp A4, PDF background, with a total of 12 varible text fields over pages 1 and 2. All varible text is black only.
There is also some simple rules in the job.
The background is about 2mb in size
We exported the job as a rich JLT containing 4750 records 37mb in size (fast option no good as it said it would ignore all rules)

The file was processing for 3.5 hours

we have a 3050 with the standard rip - all the press/ rip software is up to date

Is this normal or are we doing something wrong

Indesign CS4 PC

Any help appreciated
